• Roxboro Uptown Development Corp.--former director for seven years.  Received the "2006 Main Street Champion" award from the North Carolina Department of Commerce in 2007.
• Roxboro Community School--Principal for two years and is presently on their Board of Directors.
• United Way of Person County--past board chairman and former board member
• Person County Board of Elections--past member.
• Person County Planning Board--presently serving as a board member and served as past chairman for three years.

As a native of Person County, I realize that this county has unlimited potential.  However, we need the right leadership to unlock it.  During my professional life, I learned that good leadership requires a clear vision of what needs to be accomplished.  And, in doing so, good leadership should always have the best interests in mind for the people that they represent.  I know that this is a great County.  But, we can make it better!

• I want to improve the quality of education so we will have the best school system in the state.
• I want Person County to be the number one choice of major industry and businesses.
• I want to work hard to ensure that our good workers will remain in this county.
• I want our county safe and crime free.
• I want our county to have healthy living conditions for all our citizens.
• I want our government to be efficient, responsive to its citizens, and become fiscally responsible.

My standard are high because I know we have the potential to be the best county in North Carolina.
